I t’s a great news for the tens of thousands of immigration aspirants to Canada. The Canadian government is likely to keep the next year immigration target yet again minimum 300,000. Canada’s Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen has announced the same in a key event. Canada is the most popular country among immigrants. Every year tens of thousands of people apply for Canadian Permanent residency through different immigration programs, including Federal Express Entry System, Provincial Nominee Programs and Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP), etc.
“Government is committed to make Immigration to Canada Hassle free”
Canada saw a record immigration influx, i.e. 320,000 in the year ending July 2016. Moreover, the government has also set the immigration target of 300,000 for the year 2017. As per Ahmed Hussen, the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, “Although we don’t know what next year’s levels will be, I can tell you they will not be below 300,000,”. As per him, this figure will be “the baseline for admissions going forward.”
There are various job sectors, which offer great scope to the skilled and talented professionals, i.e. Construction and mining, education, public administration, etc. All these sectors offer great job ratio, even higher than the national average along with the year over year improvements.
The immigration plan to invite about 300,000 immigrants saw the significant increase in the economic immigration compared to earlier year, which reflected the government’s commitment to keep immigration as key part of economic future of the Canada, he said. Hussen highlighted the key steps taken by the government in the recent past in terms of eliminating the roadblocks and making the immigration to Canada smooth and trouble free for the immigrants. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to make all permanent residents, the citizens of Canada as well as ensuring that more and more families reunite in the country.
Canadian government has taken several steps in last one year to make immigration smooth and trouble free and to facilitate family reunification in the country.
The government of Canada has also increased the share of economic immigration considerably under the Immigration Plan 2017. The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited close to 50,000 people through federal express entry system, courtesy key changes made in the system and reduced qualifying marks.
Making family reunification smooth has also been the key objective of the government, which also justified by the government during its tenure. The decision of doubling the Parent and Grandparent Program (PGP) application intake from 5,000 to 10,000, reducing the family visa processing time to one year, and removal of the conditional permanent residence provision for certain sponsored spouses were a few of the key steps government implemented to make family reunification easy in Canada.
In view of all the above steps taken by Canadian government to make immigration smooth in Canada, it’s the best time to plan Canada Immigration. If you apply for Canada PR now, you stand the best chance of obtaining the same.
